NeoGraft Hair Transplantation

NeoGraft hair transplantation uses the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method, where the hair follicles are taken from thicker areas of the head and places them where the hair is thinner. This method uses a specialized tool in order to harvest the individual hair follicles one at a time and placing them in a new area. This technique gives the Dr. Dawli more control in where to naturally place each hair follicle.

Benefits of NeoGraft FUE Method

This technique used for hair transplant is favored by many due to minimal discomfort, no incisions or sutures needed, low risk for complications, and a quicker recovery time with fewer limitations. Compared to the strip method this procedure involves less bleeding and fewer complications. The Neograft machine allows for more precision when pulling the hair follicle and speeds the process up for using hair follicles that are viable due to a waiting chamber that keeps the follicles cool and moist.

What is the procedure like?

Before the procedure, the area where the hair is being harvested from is shaved and topical anesthetic is applied to the scalp to decrease the pain for follicle harvesting. During the procedure, Dr. Dawli will use a machine to harvest the follicles from where your hair is thickest. The procedure will last between 4-6 hours, depending on the amount of follicles harvested and transplanted. After the procedure, your head will be bandaged and you can go home right after the procedure.

Your scalp may be tender after the procedure and you may need to take pain medications for several days after. Your head will continue to be bandaged for a few days and most people return to work after removing the bandage. The transplanted hair will fall out for the next 2-3 weeks and then new hair growth from the transplanted follicles should be noticed after a few months.
