Many people come in for consultations not knowing what to expect.
Here is a breakdown of what to prepare for your consultation:
Medical History
When filling out new patient paperwork, we will ask you about your past medical history, surgical history, current medications, and allergies. All current medical conditions should be appropriately treated. There are also screening questions addressing the guidelines of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which asks patients to be smoke-free 3 months before and after surgery for optimal healing and results. We also recommend that you be at your goal weight when having surgery. These guidelines will allow you to have the best results possible.
Have a Goal in Mind
Getting cosmetic surgery is a huge decision, so it is important that you know what you want. Knowing your end goal and having example photos is helpful when discussing outcomes and different procedures available.
Have Questions Prepared
Having all possible questions prepared will help to make the most out of your consultation. Asking about the duration of surgery, type of anesthesia used, risk involved, and recovery details are all great questions that can be answered at the consultation.
Financing Set Up
Knowing how you will pay for the procedure is important before coming in for the consultation. We can take payments for surgery through credit card, check, or through our financing option Care Credit. Applying for Care Credit is simple through their website. It takes less than 10 minutes to complete and you will find out if you’ve been approved right away.
